Kirstine Petersen grew up in the small town of Gevninge in Denmark. At the age of 16 she moved to London, where she found work as a model. For the next eight years she lived and worked between London, New York, Paris, Miami and Tokyo, before finally, at the age of 24, deciding to plant roots in Athens and start a career in fashion retail. However, after two years of running the clothing boutique' 292' in the suburb of Psychico, Kirstine realised retail wasn't her calling, and headed back to Paris to design, with a friend, her own brand of clothing, called 'Oggitersen'. In 2003, Kirstine got itchy feet again and, when her friend Mia Oeser mentioned that she needed help with her existing label, decided to return to the Greek capital and set up a partnership.
Mia Oeser was born and grew up in London. After achieving her Degree Hons in Fashion Design at the University of Westminster, Harrow and doing work experience as a design assistant at 'Enrico Coveri' in Florence, Italy, she moved to Athens in 1994 and started working as a designer for the high-street label Acrobat. She spent three years there, learning the tricks of the trade and getting a firm grounding in mainstream fashion, retail, production, pattern-cutting - and, of course, in the Greek language. In 1998, she set up her own label, Mia Oeser, which she designed, produced and promoted by herself. In 2003, Mia was relieved to be joined by Kirstine, who took over the PR and Business side of the business, as well as helping with the generation of design ideas.
Renowned for their flattering, feminine cut and good quality, they have acquired a loyal clientele base, reaching as far as London, San Francisco and Sydney-Australia! Heather Mills McCartney is a huge fan! The successful duo are expanding with momentum and have a strong foresight for future develpment.
